Naruse

The primary goal remains the cultivation of healthcare professionals equipped with advanced knowledge and strong ethical values, transcending the fields of medical science, dentistry, and pharmaceutical sciences.

I have articulated a vision centered around the keyword "Connect." My strategic plan includes several key elements: 1. Establishing a Hub for Innovative Medical Technology Creation: Creating international and next-generation research hubs within the medical field, promoting an increase in top-tier publications and internationally co-authored papers. 2. Building an Innovation Ecosystem: Establishing and operating organizations that concentrate and strengthen the functions of innovation creation to construct an innovation ecosystem. 3. Enhancing Treatment for Postgraduate Students: Improving conditions for postgraduate students in accordance with newly established degree programs, and securing diverse career paths, including academia and industry. 4. Supporting Emerging Young Researchers: Supporting the active participation of outstanding young researchers, fostering an attractive research environment that allows them to engage in challenging research with their unique ideas.

Okayama University's strength and uniqueness in the field of healthcare extend beyond the Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Collaboration and synergy with other research departments, such as the Graduate School of Health Sciences, and the designation of the University Hospital as a core clinical research facility, provide fertile ground for the pursuit of knowledge and innovation. As Dean of the Graduate School, I will work closely with the university's executive leadership, fostering connections across departments, and striving for the strengthening of research capabilities and the recruitment, development, and nurturing of exceptional research talent. His leadership will contribute to the continued growth and progress of the Graduate School in fulfilling its pioneering role in innovation for the local community and the world.
